URGENT - Hawaii Island CVS Prescriptions

It has come to our attention that, once again, Hawaii island PAs are having their prescriptions rejected by CVS pharmacies if the presription does not include the prescribing information (NPI, DEA, etc) of their supervising physician. This happened in June 2018, and was due to an incorrect interpretation of Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 16, Chapter 85 (attached for your reference). HAPA is working to correct this matter urgently with CVS on Hawaii island. An update will be posted once this matter has been resolved.
