Position Description

The MEDEX Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington Seattle campus seeks to hire
full-time didactic faculty member to work at the MEDEX Seattle or Tacoma campus through Summer
2020 and then relocate to the Kona, Hawaii campus, (dependent on campus expansion approval from
ARC-PA) on a permanent basis.


This position is a non-tenure track appointment, renewable annually, at the faculty rank of Lecturer.

Primary faculty responsibilities include developing and delivering lectures, chairing or co-chairing one or
more courses, advising/ evaluating students, and participating in admissions activities, scholarly activity
as well as other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program with earned PA Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree, master's degree obtained or in progress.
• Teaching experience in either a classroom or clinical setting.
• Current NCCPA certification or equivalent and two years of clinical experience.
• Current or former residency in the state of Hawaii and willingness to return, and/or strong
connections to the state of Hawaii.
• Work experience with a variety of health systems and will enjoy maintaining relationships with our
clinical partners.
• Teaching experience in the clinical setting and classroom.
• Commitment to developing and supporting diversity and inclusion in the work and learning
environments.
