As a Physician Assistant you will:

Assist the physician in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients.
You will collaborate closely with team members to provide medical care, diagnose and treat illnesses, and promote overall patient wellness.
A Day in the Life:

  • Conduct patient interviews, record medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions under the supervision of the physician.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
  • Educate patients about their health conditions, medications, and preventive care measures.
  • Work closely with the physician to discuss patient cases, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and ensure they receive appropriate care and support.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain clear and concise medical records, documenting patient visits, treatments, and outcomes accurately.

  • Demonstrate effective collaboration in patient care, contributing valuable insights and ideas to the treatment plans.
  • Ensure patients understand their healthcare plans and actively participate in their own well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Exhibit adaptability in addressing challenging cases and unforeseen situations, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills effectively.
  • Handle changes in patient volume or unexpected circumstances in the practice environment with flexibility and efficiency.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional conduct outlined by regulatory bodies and uphold the highest level of integrity in patient care.
  • Staying up-to-date with medical advancements, guidelines, and best practices through continuing education and training.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are excited about you if you have these things:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Hawaii licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work autonomously within the scope of practice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting health and wellness.
  • This is a small practice setting, the work environment may involve flexibility and strong collaboration.
