PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This enduring activity includes didactic presentation with holographic elements and interactive case presentation to enhance knowledge of fundamental concepts of pain, including key definitions and mechanisms. Participants will explore comprehensive approaches for pain assessment, apply validated tools for assessing pain severity and functional status, and learn strategies for managing different pain types. Emphasizing risk mitigation in opioid prescribing, the program addresses prevention of nonmedical use of opioid analgesics. After completion, participants will be equipped to optimize pain management while minimizing opioid-related risks.
